Happy Birthday Mom

Happy birthday to my mom!  My mom was born in that magical time known as the 50s when everything was in black and white and the golden age of stereotype reinforcing television reigned.

Things that remind me of my mom: cookies, hairspray, eighties suits, wool winter coats, diet coke, kilts and cross-country check up.

Things that should remind me of my mom, but don’t:  Halloween, all other programs on CBC radio and bad movies.
