So, when we were in New York for 7 days and 6 nights, we happened to see 4 low-level celebrities. In chronological order, here they are.
The first was Liz Sheridan or as you probably know her “Jerry’s Mom” on Seinfeld. The second night we were there they blocked off the lounge for a private party. Incidentally, they were also really snooty about it, in fact, all the serving staff at our hotel seemed like they thought they were better than us. No tip for you!
Anyway, we took our money elsewhere, but when we came back and we were waiting for the elevator, she came out (looking a wee bit drunky-drunk) and rushed into the private party. The only think remarkable is that she’s miniature which makes me wonder how short Jerry is, and how short Jason Alexander is. TV makes people look bigger.

Next was Benjamin Bratt or Rey Curtis on Law & Order. He was pushing his baby in a stroller near Washington Square Park. It caused a minor stir in the cafe we were sitting in as everybody tried to tell the person sitting next to them that a celebrity was walking by – but trying to do it without being obvious since they were sitting by a large glass window. Pointing and staring is never cool, especially when the celeb is 2 feet away and can see you.
The third only Marc saw because he’s a basketball coach or something. It’s Larry Brown. He may have been the coach of the Pistons or something, I’m not sure. Marc seemed rather impressed, so he makes the list.

And finally, driving a dagger into my heart because while I was away I couldn’t watch the last 2 episodes of Dexter, was Lt. Laguerta herself, Lauren Vélez. She was coming out of the bathroom as Marc and I were going in. She’s quite pretty in person. (Benjamin Bratt is not, HD is probably killing his career).
And that’s it. I don’t think that’s a bad haul considering New York is such a damnable big place.
